Lemon Drop Martini
The vodka lemon drop with agave underneath, and far more lemon than the original ever used. It lands closer to a sour than a candy, which is the only version worth putting a good blanco into.

Ingredients
2 oz blanco tequila
1.25 oz fresh lemon juice
0.5 oz simple syrup
0.25 oz triple sec
Method
- Sugar half the rim of a chilled martini glass and set it aside.
- Squeeze the lemons straight into the shaker, then add the tequila, simple syrup and triple sec.
- Fill with ice and shake hard until well chilled.
- Strain into the prepared glass.
Panel note
Sugar half the rim rather than all of it, so the drinker chooses sweet or sharp each sip. And leave the lemon at an ounce and a quarter; the acid is the drink, and dropping it turns this back into the candy it was.
