Jamaica flower against a reposado, which is a better match than it sounds: the barrel's vanilla softens the tartness the way it would soften citrus. Two dashes of spicy bitters keep it from reading as a floral drink.
Make the syrup: steep dried flor de jamaica in hot 1:1 simple for twenty minutes and strain. The tartness lives in the tea. Most bottled hibiscus syrup is sugar and dye with none of it.
