Neurita Tequila, the flavoured tequila brand founded by Lucy Smith in October 2022, secured a national listing at Dutch retailer Gall & Gall in September 2026, putting its four bottlings in stores across the Netherlands.

The range now on shelves includes Neurita's 100% agave Blanco, Picante, Citrus and Rosa expressions, stocked in every Gall & Gall location and sold through the retailer's website nationwide, according to The Spirits Business, which first reported the listing.

What the Gall & Gall listing includes

Gall & Gall is a Dutch liquor store chain that traces its roots to 1884 and now operates as part of grocery and retail group Ahold Delhaize, with more than 600 branches across the Netherlands. The chain has recently been overhauling its shelf assortment to chase changing drinking habits, including more interest in premium and organic categories, according to trade coverage of the retailer. Smith, Neurita's founder and chief executive, called the deal a milestone in a statement carried by The Spirits Business, saying the Netherlands is an important market as the brand builds out across Europe. The move follows growth Neurita has reported in the UK, where the company has built distribution across both on-trade venues and online retail.

How Neurita arrived at a 100% agave lineup

Neurita launched in October 2022 as a flavoured tequila brand built around the margarita occasion, adding a Picante chile-infused variant in January 2024 alongside its existing Citrus and Rosa bottlings. The company pursued a Crowdcube crowdfunding round in October 2024 to fund international expansion, the same month it entered a working-capital partnership with drinks fintech Ferovinum. Neurita reported 169% year on year growth for 2024 and brought on former Don Papa and William Grant & Sons executive Chris Rigby as a strategy advisor, later earning a shortlist spot for Tequila Brand of the Year at the Spirits Business Awards.

The bigger shift came in September 2025, when Neurita reworked its recipe in partnership with Grupo PSA's La Huaracha Distillery, a facility in Jiquilpan, Michoacan holding NOM 1566 and run by an all women production team, to move its flavoured range onto a 100% agave base and introduce its first unflavoured blanco, described by the companies as carrying a cristalino inspired profile. Two months later, in November 2025, Neurita confirmed Grupo PSA had taken an undisclosed minority stake in the business, a transaction the brand said would help fund its next phase of growth. La Huaracha is also the distillery behind Campo Bravo Tequila, a separate brand it makes in partnership with Texas based Milestone Brands.

Where else Neurita has been expanding

The Gall & Gall listing is one piece of a broader international push. In July 2026, Neurita partnered with Mallorca based distributor Xdrinks to bring its 100% agave range into Spain's on and off trade. In December 2025, the brand appointed Wildfire Advisory to lead an official US launch planned for 2026, a market Discus data shows drove 2.9% growth in US tequila and mezcal demand to 6.7 billion dollars in 2024, with the premium tier expanding at a compound annual rate of 8.9%. Neurita says its products are also already available in Australia. The company is set to present its range at Bar Convent Berlin from October 12 to 14, 2026, to international buyers and distributors.

What this means

Neurita does not yet appear among the houses in this publication's bottle database, so no TW Score exists for any of its expressions, and none is implied by this listing news. What is documented is a distribution deal and a two year run of funding and ownership moves that turned a UK flavoured spirit into a 100% agave brand with a Mexican production partner. Whether the Gall & Gall placement translates into volume is not yet known.
