Neurita Tequila, the UK based flavoured tequila brand founded by Lucy Smith, named Amsterdam distributor Bart's Bottles as its Dutch partner in October 2026, backed by a nationwide Gall and Gall listing.
The appointment formalizes a rollout that began the previous month, when Neurita's range went live across every store and the online shop of Gall and Gall, a Dutch specialty drinks retail chain, according to The Spirits Business, which broke both stories.
What the Bart's Bottles agreement covers
Bart's Bottles is an Amsterdam based importer and distributor founded by Bart van Veen, with a portfolio that runs to more than 50 international spirits brands. Under the new agreement, the company takes on representation of Neurita across the Dutch on-trade, meaning bars and restaurants, and off-trade, meaning retail, including bartender training sessions, tastings and brand activation events. Van Veen framed the Gall and Gall placement as a strong opening move for the partnership, the kind of nationwide retail foothold most new entrants spend years chasing. Smith said the listing gives Neurita immediate visibility with Dutch consumers, a point she made in comments carried by The Spirits Business.
How Neurita built its international footprint
Neurita launched in October 2021 as a flavoured tequila brand built specifically for margaritas, drawing blanco tequila from Casa Orendain, a family run distillery in Jalisco, Mexico, and infusing it with fruit extracts for its Citrus, Rosa and Picante expressions. The brand later took on investment from Grupo PSA, whose La Huaracha Distillery backed a packaging and recipe overhaul that moved the full range onto a 100% agave base and added an unflavoured blanco, a shift Neurita announced ahead of a planned 2026 US launch supported by agency Wildfire Advisory.
The Netherlands is the latest stop in a expansion that has moved market by market. Neurita entered Australia in March 2026 through a deal with distributor JQWS, added a Romanian listing with Bucharest based Negroni Trading, placed its Citrus expression in Finland, and joined the global travel retail channel in 2024 through distributor GMAX. The company has told trade press it posted 169 percent year on year growth in 2024, a figure that has not been independently audited.
What is documented and what is not
What is confirmed: Bart's Bottles now represents Neurita in the Netherlands, and the brand's range sits on Gall and Gall shelves and website nationwide. What has not been disclosed is the commercial structure of the distribution agreement, including any minimum volumes, exclusivity term or investment attached to it. No Dutch sales or shipment figures for Neurita have been published. The only market sizing the brand has cited publicly concerns Australia, where it referenced a Deep Market Insights estimate of that country's tequila market, not the Netherlands, so there is no equivalent public figure for the size of the opportunity Neurita is now chasing in Dutch retail and hospitality.
