Fuego Azul Tequila LLC, a startup based in Kennesaw, Georgia, said its first commercial production run in Amatitán, Jalisco is scheduled to finish on September 24, 2026, ahead of a fourth quarter debut in the Georgia market.

The company disclosed the schedule in a release dated September 21, 2026 and distributed through EIN Presswire, whose press release feed is syndicated onto the National Law Review's website, where the announcement surfaced under the headline that prompted this report.

What the September production run covers

According to the release, Fuego Azul's inaugural batch includes three expressions: Blanco, Reposado and Añejo. The Reposado matures five months in white oak bourbon whiskey barrels, and the Añejo rests twelve months, the company said. The release describes the production method as cooking agave in masonry ovens and autoclaves, extracting juice by roller mill, fermenting naturally and distilling twice in stainless steel pot stills. Once bottled, the spirits will ship in a diamond shaped bottle the company calls the Jewel of Jalisco, under the tagline Born in Fire, Perfected in Tradition. The company said the run is set to conclude September 24, after which bottles are expected to reach Georgia restaurants, bars, hotels and retail shelves during the fourth quarter of 2026.

Who is behind the brand

Fuego Azul Tequila LLC is based in Kennesaw, Georgia, and describes itself on a fundraising profile hosted by Gust as family owned, with production coming from NOM 1439, the facility number assigned by Mexico's tequila regulatory council, the CRT. Public distillery registries list NOM 1439 as Proveedora y Procesadora de Agave Tres Hermanos, S.A. de C.V., a contract distillery in Amatitán that currently produces dozens of other tequila brands, according to the Agave Matchmaker producer database. That location is consistent with the company's claim, though a Consejo Regulador del Tequila filing tying Fuego Azul specifically to that NOM could not be located as of this writing. Ricardo Kelly, the company's founder and chief executive, said in the release that watching the production run move through its final stage marks the moment the brand moves from vision toward reality. The Gust profile also states the founder has more than five years of experience operating a Georgia spirits distribution business with existing distributor, retail and on-premise relationships. A trademark application for EST 2025 FUEGO AZUL TEQUILA was on file with the USPTO as of March 2026, consistent with a 2025 founding date.

How Fuego Azul plans to reach Georgia accounts

The release says Fuego Azul Tequila LLC will handle its own importation and distribution in Georgia through licensed operations rather than routing through a separate importer, working directly with retailers, restaurants, bars and hotels. The company said it will start with a limited set of premium accounts across Metro Atlanta and the rest of Georgia, then expand into additional markets during the first and second quarters of 2027. The brand's public debut is set for November 7, 2026, at Gallery Anderson Smith, an art gallery in Atlanta, according to an Eventbrite listing for an event titled An Evening of Fire, Flavor and Tradition. The listing says the evening will include guided tastings of the three launch expressions, food pairings from chef Shawn Osbey and music from DJ Queen of Spades.

What is documented and what is not

The account of Fuego Azul's production method is not entirely consistent across the company's own channels. Its website describes the process as agave cooked in traditional stone ovens and crushed with a tahona, then double distilled in copper pot stills, while the September release describes masonry ovens and autoclaves, roller extraction and stainless steel pot stills. Both descriptions come from the company; neither has been reconciled in anything public reviewed for this report. Marketing on the company's website and event listings also describes the tequila as made without added ingredients, a description that has not been accompanied by any published certificate or third party attestation located as of this writing.

What this means

Fuego Azul does not appear in Tequila Watch's bottle database, and no certification record has been checked against it. What is worth watching is whether the September 24 production date and the November 7 Atlanta event both hold, given how recent the trademark filing and the company's public presence are.
