Casa Mosto Tequila

History

Mosto Tequila was founded in 2022 by Jalisco-born Richmond, Virginia restaurateurs Nelson and Paulo Benavides in partnership with Matt Tarpey of The Veil Brewing Co., releasing its first blanco in July 2024. It is made from estate-grown agave at a small family-owned distillery in Jesús María in Los Altos, and the brand frames itself around small-town Jalisco life of community, music and long family tables.
